DigeZyme® - The key to efficient nutrient digestion
The main ingredient of the Best Body Nutrition Enzyme Complex is DigeZyme®. This branded raw material is a mix of 5 specific digestive enzymes. Enzymes are a special form of proteins that accelerate biochemical reactions, such as the digestion of food components in the human body. DigeZyme® contains protease, alpha-amylase, lipase and lactase, among others, which are involved in the digestion of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and the milk sugar lactose. It also contains the enzyme cellulase, which is not naturally present in the human body and is able to break down plant cellulose. The gram-positive bacterium Bacillus coagulans belongs to the group of lactic acid-producing bacteria. Bacillus coagulans is usually found in fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kimchi or yoghurt and is valued for its probiotic properties.
Jerusalem artichoke - a natural power food with many health benefits
The Jerusalem artichoke plant belongs to the sunflower family. Jerusalem artichoke tubers are rich in the polysaccharide inulin and have a high fibre content. Dietary fibres are fibre-rich plant components that are not utilised by the human body and reach the large intestine undigested, where they can be utilised by the intestinal flora. Topinambur is also valued for its general strengthening effect on the immune system, its activating influence on the body's antioxidant system and its beneficial effect on bodily functions1.
